  • What exactly is Owl City?

     

    Got this excert from an interview with Adam Young of "Owl City", and i love it:

    Question: What exactly is Owl City?
    Adam Young's answer: A city where happy owls live, work, breathe, ride bikes and fly kites. They pick flowers, sing in the shower, salsa dance, swim in pools, knit sweaters and read dreamy books with happy endings. They roller skate, watch romantic movies, drive clean cars to church, hold hands on the beach and run on treadmills after they eat a lot of pizza. They enjoy vanilla skies, swinging on swing sets, walking in the rain, pajama parties, wearing fuzzy sweatshirts in the winter and imagining what it would be like to breathe underwater. Owl City is an innocent place where life is pleasant and enjoyable. It's a place where pretty owl girl flight attendants smile at handsome boy owls at 30,000 feet. It's a place where little owls sometimes get lost in grocery stores but they always find their momma's again. =]

  • be in that place


    Remix 2: Hungry - Joy Williams

    I've realized that I really want to be in the place where I am fully aware of how sinful and how wrong I am, and be completely broken up about it.
    This has been me of late: getting into this habit of temporary sorrow for my sins and then when that's done im over it and on to something else.

    But things have been coming into focus recently, for the better.

    I can remember a while ago I was praying a pray about how I really want to be completely broken about my sin, because the routine was making me feel fake in my relationship with God. I feel God has started to answer my prayers about being brought into that place. I am starting see how wrong I am recently.

    In Sunday service or Youth Group it occurred to me that being in the broken "God-I-really-can't-do-this,-please-help-me-because-I-know-you-can" state of mine is really beautiful.

    Complete dependence on God when I have finally fallen down and stopped pretending I got this.

  • One time i was awake for 22 hours

    So it was Labor day monday 2009 September 7th.
    Took friend Jeanne P. home from a party palooza @ the andersons.
    She lives in Chicago and the ride there was totally fine, i found chicago and everything was good till we got off on Ohio street and then i needed her to check the directions.
    but then when i dropped her off the terror began.
    lets just say the 45min ish ride out there turned into a 4 hour ride back.
    i gott lost for like 4 hours straight. @ first i was happy go lucky about it but then it let into

  • This is my old About Me section, (I'm keeping it for now b/c its funny): I am Tom. I am 18. (wow) and I have my PERMIT! (its expired) And I got a new baby siser, March 3 2005. (shes one and a half now) I'm nolonger a Junior at Calumet Baptist School, but I had tons of friends there. I am a freshman at Purdue Calumet.
